URLs listed twice in index when doing site search

Not supplemental, same cache dates, etc.

Is this a common thing? I have noticed multiple URLs listed twice when doing a site: search in Google Webmaster Tools. They are exactly the same. Same snippet, same URL, same cache date, neither listing is supplemental, etc. Does this indicate anything?

I thought it was my imagination, but I've now noticed it on multiple URLs. Since the results aren't listed in any particular order, it's difficult to track, but I had one listed second from the bottom of the results on one page, and then when I clicked "Next" it was listed again in the top spot on the next results page.

What, if anything, can be learned from this?

Others have reported this too. It seems to be just a bug.

Thanks - it's very confusing at first, until you realize what's going on. I'd like to blame all my problems on Google, but unfortunately that probably isn't the case.

If they'd just tell me what I'm doing wrong, I'd be happy to fix it...
