My .com dissapeared overnight in UK

Am I being penalised or new rules

My .com site had 1st page listing on Google for dozens of search terms and overnight has become invisible in my area. South of London.
However my webmaster is seeing everything normally in North London.

I heard that Google may be favouring .co.uk....See dynol101's post.

It's a crisis as we normally get around a 1000 visitors a day and we have people paying to be on the site. My .com site does have UK in the title though.

Is it possible that I might have over optimised the home page or has Google changed the rules.

I have another similar sounding Domain which is .co.uk should I point that one to my site.

Yes I being in India sometimes notice that the results shown in google.co.in and google.com are different.

I always use google.com to search results though.

same happen to me too...my site is just getting disappeared from google for my major keywords for which it used to come #1 since last 3-4 years. and now it is nearly no where till #600 - #700 position. i donot know what is happening. even our site: cached page also getting reduce ..they have gone to half now.

we have not changed anything major we have added few functionality for our customer like sorting and paging and i donot think google should take it as negative..i have checked everything and cann't understand why we are penalizing and for what.. is there any way to contact google and ask what is it ..that has gone to our site. we are ready to fix it overnight.we have always obeyed googles guideline and willing to obey it..please if anyone can suggest how to know or ask google why they are doing so to our side.
