So I nested a new website within my existing one and I was wondering about the ramifications in google search (if any) that there would be.

My new website has its own IP address and domain name, but it's located within the folders of my old website.

My new website name does not come up in Google. It's been online for about three weeks now.

Thanks for any info!

There is a time lag between you changing your pages and seeing the site get different results in the SE.....just because you changed the pages, doesn't matter. You have to wait for the SE to come back and look at your new pages. Then that information has to be added to the SE's database for inclusion into the results pages.

How long does it take?
It varies...it depends upon how often the SE's come to index your site right now. If you've let your domain sit stagnent for a while chances are good that it may take a few months before it comes back...if you do regular updates to the site, chances are good that it will be around within the next couple weeks.

you can manually submit your site if you like to G, Y, and M, if you feel that you may have a stagnent site, this may prompt the SE to come see you sooner (possibly...no guarantees here with the way things currently are in that area)

Here's direct links to the majors for manual inclusion of your site if needed:

[google.com...] - Google
[submit.search.yahoo.com...] - Yahoo
[submitit.bcentral.com...] - MSN

don't get all happy with the submission links, once is enough. submitting your site multiple times can potentially make the SE gods frown upon your site...

Hope that helps!
