Is there a way to remove the contents of my site from google cache if I no longer have access to the URL? My blog appears in google cache, but I no longer have access to the blog so I can't put any code on it to remove it from google. The link to the URL doesn't provide a 404 error so google's URL removal tool won't work either.

Hello cbrk, and welcome to the forums.

The answer is no, you can't. If you give it a bit of thought, you'll see that such a possibility would mean that people could remove their competitiors' websites - and that would not be a pretty thing.

Thanks. It does make sense and I thought that was the answer. Do you have any idea why my cached page is moving up in rankings? A few weeks ago it appeared only if you searched via the blog search, but now appears in google search.
