Hi

I was wondering if adding images to the sitemap.xml file at the site helps fining my images at Google Images search?

Or the images are related to the pages they are in, along with surrounding text and alt text?

Thanks

Not if the images are on the pages. Google will grab the images when it grabs the pages, so no need to do this for the images. It's just redundant...

If you want better indexing by Google images, look at the Google webmaster tools. There is an option to tell Google that you want enhanced image search or something like that.

I think it will only show up if you have verified the site.
