I have a site that is getting no google traffic.

When I go into Google sitemaps, I see "No pages from your site are currently included in Google's index. Indexing can take time."

If I do a site:www.mydomain.com I see only the home page as non supplemental (with a descrtiption) plus about 57 pages as supplementals. The total pages for the site is about 60 or so.

I'm not sure if this is a penalty or G just doesn't like the site. It's all original pictures and descriptions. However it is travel related and we have affiliate links to the hotels on the program plus links to hotels that are not on the affiliate program.

My main question is, given the above, is the site in the index or not? I'm not getting any traffic now (just about 10 unique visitors a day).

The site was getting almost all of it's traffic from MSN during the busy season. (50:1 MSN:Google)

I know it needs a bit of work as far as decriptions and titles. Backlinks are also lacking (It's an area that I really stink at). The site has been up since about January 06.

I was also wondering if there are any tools out there that analyze a site, not for it's ranking, but how it appears to the search engines. I'm trying to remember the name of one of the spider simulators I fooled around with about a year ago. It would show you how google saw your site.

I'm also wondering how much damage the MFA scrapers are doing to small sites similar to ours. Two years ago I could put up a site and it would get fairly decent traffic after a short time from google. I'm beginning to think that the scrapers are grabbing the content before my site gets thoroughly indexed and G is seeing my original content as duplicate. If I go to Yahoo and look at what is linking to my site, I see about a dozen MFA Scapers all stealing snippets of my site.

Thanks for any thoughts.

PS - I keep reading the tips, especially ny G1mod (sp?) and others. I still don't fully understand all of it but I keep working on it.
