Most of google.com URLs are Supplemental using -inurl:www

This is interesting:

site:www.google.com -inurl:www.

Almost 50% of their sites show supplemental results. When you go to the last page, you will even get omitted results.

Looks like mostly obscure areas of the Google Directory, plus some search results pages. I see only 90 some results before hitting the 'omitted results" link. It's a very different picture when you drop the "www" from the domain name

site:google.com -inurl:www

What is returned is not Supplemental Results, just Google urls that obey the minus sign, the exclusion, as you would normally expect.
