Dec13 major rank/ traffic drop in 4 hours.

page rank dropped from 8 to 6. cached pages didn't change.

I get a lot of Google Organic traffic on a daily basis - tens of
thousands. Yesterday starting at 11:00 AM, the google organic traffic started to drop, and it stabilized around 3:00 PM. We are now getting 25% of what we used to get. The number of cached pages has not dropped - they are actually increasing. There has been no new site map submissions lately. (no chance of the submission file being wrong) No changes to the robot.txt file either. Any suggestions?

Agreed, that this post needs to be combined.

What I would be interested in seeing is exactly how you where effected. Please PM me your site with pages and keywords that where effected. I would like to examine the exact effects of this change.

My gut reaction based upon my sites is that little has changed from Google’s Algo based upon my own sites. However if there may be a factor that is significantly different I would like to find it and share it.

It’s imperative that we share what we know with everyone. As much as some may disagree with my logic. The more we know the better everyone will do.
