Google is shutting down the SOAP API and "replacing" it with the AJAX API which only gives you one page of results - and the first 8 results only.

How are you guys checking your rankings/backlinks in Google now if you were using the SOAP API previously?

huh? where did you see that?

the only thing I see is that they are no longer "supporting" it...but still allowing developers to use the soap.

The same way I always did. There is this site [google.com] where you can go to check your rankings. It's really efficient too, once you give up on worrying about how you rank for any particular term, and start concentrating on overall traffic.
