So Many Google Alerts - Banned Site

I subscriped my website in google alert service, which notifies you if there is any change in the site backlinks.

This is the 3rd alert I receive this week, has anyone else noticed this?

It worth mentioning that the site in question was banned more than a year and a half ago. It shows PR0, no results for the site command, but when you search for sitename.com (with or without the www) it shows hundreds and thousands of results from external sites.

AFAIK, when a site is banned there is no backlinks shown for this site and when you search for sitename.com it shows no results. Correct me if I am wrong!
