Google sitemap - OK to submit two?

I have a sitemap in webmaster central for my site but was wondering, should i submit a seperate sitemap in the same account for my blog which is in the directory, example.com/blog? is it ok to add 2 sitemaps for 1 site?

If you have your blog as http://www.example.com/blog then why aren't you including those URLs in your sitemap for http://www.example.com?

We've got about 300 sitemaps, with a max of 50,000 URLs per sitemap, and they are all accepted and about 50 get crawled daily on a rotating basis.

Multiple sitemaps in one account are fine.
