"Refine results" list for some searches in Google

Anyone else notice this small change?

Hey Guys,

Not that this is the greatest example, but it is a change,

A search on Google.com for <some phrases>. Above the serps, a list to help refine results for your search?

Something they are testing?

It's probably well beyond a test. You'll only see it on some terms, but Google is pushing hard to help people who search on the same terms but have different intentions - and this is one such example.

I believe this position on the SERP is what they are calling the "OneBox" and it can hold various types of specialized refinements to the original search. If you haven't checked out Google's Help page that diagrams the various parts of the SERP, it's worth a read:
