I'm tired of everyday reading about webmasters giving their two cents about how to rank highly on Google. I think we are all agreed that links are the number one factor. But then we enter the quality links vs. quantity of links debate.
Wouldn't is be great if Google scaled all the websites similar to Alexa and only counted links from sites ranked higher. It would stop to link exchanges, link farms, triangular linking and every other black hat link programs that’s our out there.
Do you think Google will buy the idea off me?
Links from higher quality sites are ranked higher, links from lower quality are ranked lower. Links from sites that have related topic rank higher, links from unrelated rank lower. Links from link scrap yards have no value...
I think you need an awful lot of low quality links to count for anything at all and some links plainly have no value.
Not sure how you think this would stop link exchange etc as it hasn't so far

What does a site's traffic rank have to do with quality?
