Site-wide links benefits?

I have had a proposal from a related site whereby we both include a text link to each other from our sites (we're both PR5 and have around 200 pages each).

What I was wondering is, is there any significant benefit in this and will Google frown upon the sudden increase of inbound and outbound links?

Unless tyou exchange site wide links with several sites, I don't personally see what harm it could do. If anything I think it'll benefit you. Just my personal opinion.

Today I found a website that is doing very well in search.

They use a marketing company who links all their client's websites together.

Works very well for them!

Annoying really.

So I can't see what you're wantingto do causing a problem!
