I have played the game. It is addictive. Google is using this game in its image search algorithm. I do not see how this game would create quality indexing of images. I noticed as I kept playing that the guests and I would start putting the least descriptive term to get the answer faster and thus a higher score. For instance, if the picture was of Angelina Jolie, we would put women instead of Angelina Jolie because this would give us faster results and a higher score. I think this is because of spelling issues and time. I have noticed that every time I got a good score with my guest, we would resort to using these very basic descriptions. The game in and of itself promotes using these basic descriptions to get higher scores.

The result of the game, in my opinion, is to give less descriptive and vague descriptions of images that can only lead to less quality and accurate image labeling and search results.

Except that over time they start disallowing the more common labels for an image.

Good point, but I wish they had some kind of spelling help or suggestions (like, did you mean this).

Should I opt-in to Google Image Labeler for my site? What are your opinions?
