The same spamming technique is used by many top SERP real estate sites. They generate a separate page for every property listing in their local MLS, as many as 10,000 to 30,000 depending on their market area, or from their aggregated batabases of hundreds of thousands of listings in the case of some of the national chains, and Google thinks they are providing more content than other sites who provide live, real-time access to the same and more current property listings through a database interface. Sucks big time that these techniques can fill up G's indexes and push the rest of us to supplementals. I guess if you can't beat 'em, and G continues to allow and encourage these techniques with top SERPs, you just gotta join 'em!

Providing unique content is the main aim. Each property is having its own set of specification so the better idea is to spilt the pages having the property name and specifications. This helps them to add new content everytime and thus google things that they have lot of content to offer to the visitors.

Why is having useful content in a database spam?
Computers have been designed to make life easier for us so it would make sense to have your website database driven if it was large and content rich.
Unless you wanted to save on processing power but that's another debate...
