Do New Sub-Domains Feel the "Sandbox Effect"?

Hi

We have a site which we are adding content to and want to do this on a sub domain. If we do this will the sub domain be classed as a 'new site' and therefore put in the sandbox, or will it simply be classed as other pages on the existing site?

Any help would be much appreciated.

For almost all uses, Google treats subdomains exactly like any full domain.

So - Yes.

Which means it is often better to keep all your content on the same domain, as subdomains have fewer advantagse - and more disadvantages.
