There anyone know how i might search inside the pdf files of a site listed in Google?

The site has hundreds of pdf files & i wish to search for widgets - the pdf files are indexed in Google. So i need a query to allow me to search for widgets from the indexed pdf files Google has indexed for this site only.

Anyway to do this?

Id appreciate any help.

Thanks

Choose the show as html option in the serps. From there you could use your browser to search on the page for the relevant text.

This will not work as only a few of the pdf files have been indexed - hence the reason why i need a robot to actually search the pdf files of the site for certain "text".

You should be able to use a query like:

keyword1 keyword2 site:www.example.com filetype:pdf

My syntax may be off, so if that fails, go through the Advanced Search console on Google.

Yes i understand that but Google seems to have only indexed a few of their pdf files & i need to search them all...

A robot is needed...

If one exists that could search pdf files inside a specific website - scanning for certain text.

Ah, I see. If this is not specifically about Google Search, then try posting your question in our Website Technology Issues [webmasterworld.com] forum.
