The index page of site has disappeared from google

Only yesterday when I did info query on google the index page of my site was there. Today it returns no results. Other pages are still in index, I also checked on one of google's datacenters and it does have my site there, the cache dated 17th of Oct 2006 (nine days ago). The site hasn't been hijacked as far a I can tell, the index,follow is still there and robots.txt is the same.

Is this something I have to worry about or should I just wait for few days?

I think you have to monitor the google search result.Maybe the different data centers haven't been unified.

For instance, I had my header done badly. Heart attack for one week. Now back to normal.
