Hi Forum,

sorry - it's quite easy for sure, but I've no idea how to handle.

I added a flash intro to my site and now google stops crawling the rest of my page because the link is in the flash.

How can I tell goggle to check the entiere site?

Any idea - or even a hint where to find further info - would be appreciated.

look up 'swfobject' - you'll need two versions of your page - one normal HTML, and the other flash-based. swfobject swaps out the normal html with the flash movie...

there are a whole bunch of other threads on webmasterworld that deal with swfobject (previously known as flashobject). other threads will have more details about the specifics.

...because the link is in the flash

Google can read links within Flash files (getURL) but make sure that you're using absolute links - relative links might cause some problems.

If the problem is caused by the Flash intro, add a HTML link on the Flash page (or even a complete sitemap) to the main content. Of course, having some external deep links is also helpful.
