What TLDs Google likes most?

.COM? NET? How about .CC? SG?..

Good Morning friends,

This questions has popped into my mind since I buy domains for a project I am involved in.

The idea is to promote them mainly on Google.com, as our customers are originating mainly from the US.

I tend to believe that SOMEKEYWORD.COM would make the best domain name to promote the keywords "some keywords".

However, what about .NET? .ORG? .BIZ?

Also, what about other countries domains such as .CC? .SG? .CX? .FM? Catchy domains can be obtained there ususally.

I'd appreciate your thoughts and comments.

The tld extension has no impact on the algorithm when it's generic, in my experience. For country specific TLDs, of course, there cabe preference given in country-specific searches.

if you have access to a .edu it for some reason seems to get a boost - although Google may be looking at those soo (I hope) since most good spammers in the world are using them right now
