Getting sick of posting on this but here's an update. Once the hijacker has successfully hijacked the web page of the target site and got the search engine to believe this page belongs to the target website they start to add spam to the page. Stuff they know will get the page banned on selected pages and the banned pages go supplemental dragging down the site. Others they use a triangular link to the rival paying for the hijack.

How to see this, look at description of your supplemental pages and you will see google's description does not match content that has ever been on your site.
