Ranking software for Google

Hi

I have been using TopDog to check keyword rankings for clients without any issues. I always use AOL as a substitute for Google results since Google states that running automated software is against their policy.

In the last few months, AOL hasn't been returning the correct rankings when compared with Google.

What software are most SEO's using to find Google rankings these days?

I'm sure not many are keen on manually checking rankings for 100's of keywords

Thanks for your time

You could use the Google APIs [google.com] to do this kind of thing - either by writing your own code, or by using one of the many third-party tools for this purpose.

Yes, that's exactly what I was looking for. A tool that will let me use the API.

It would be great to find a tool which also looks regional Google rankings, especially for UK and Australian sites.

What would be an added bonus is, if it could retain the information and give graphs of the trends.

TopDOG does all that but does not have the API feature unfortunately so I refrain from running it on Google.

Have you come across any software that works well for you for regional sites?

Thanks for your time.

there are plenty of free online tools to do this sort of thing...a google search should reveal them for you.

I think you will find that overly worrying about rankings is not the most productive use of your time.
