in one of forum on the net this thing has been suggested is it a good idea or just never tested.

Here is the original writer view :

1. Create 10 subdomain of your most important keyword.
2. As each subdomain is considered as a new site. Be careful do not duplicate the content at all. Because u r on same ip and it may trigger something bad to you.
3. Get one marketing page hosted on some news site for 3 keywords. This may cost you something $40 - $200 depending on newspaper and PR stuff try some local newspaper of some small county. It may be cheaper. Keywords should point to ur sub domain as well as main site.
4. Interlink the site from the content not from bottom, side or top link. It should be coming from the relevent content proximity, rather than links.
5. U may see gud result in 1-2 months. It depends upon content stuff.
6. Never involve in made race of using automated link builder program or link partnership at all. Some ppl are crazy they may harm you then do gud.

Will this work or just a so called seo idea.

Regards

Ron

Subdomain spam is something that gets through the Google defenses for a while at different times. I would only experiment with that kind of advice if you can afford to be banned and just throw your domain away forever.

I am of a different school of thought - I like the long term view over the quick tricks. If you want to develop a subdomain, then really DEVELOP the subdomain -- all the same challenges are there that would be for any new domain. The best advice I've ever read about getting well ranked on Google is here:

Create real sites.

Only use subdomains if there is a real need. Unlike subdirectories, subdomains are *tools* that offer a wide variety of possibilities and require more responsible handling. Don't use a chainsaw if a pair of scissors will do.

I think that snippet sums up the quality of advice on offer there, avoid such tactics like the plague.

Actually suggestion is this way , put all the news stuff in subdomain. Which you change on regular basis. Keep the main domain area simple and more covering commercial side. and put the news stuff over there. like suppose a brokerage company is licensed to do business in NY, and it is doing business in NY city and in NY city there are so many suburb and each suburb is main Keyword so separate it out. Put all those news stuff mostly in blog stuff on separate subdomain and have the link in that may be 5 - 10 how people can get help from main site to make their decision.
