Its kind of hard to imagine just how fast the world of computers changes. Here are a few other computer events that happened in 1998:

* Windows 98 ships (they actually got the year right on that one!)
* PayPal is founded
* MySQL is introduced
* the iMac is introduced
* the hot processor is the Pentium II at 400mhz
* the Celeron is introduced
* v90 is approved for 56k modems
* IBM announces a new huge 25gig hard drive

Scary how fast the world changes :-)
