These directions are for planning purposes only. You may find that construction projects, traffic, or other events may cause road conditions to differ from the map results.
You know, it would be really nice if there were a mapping interface out there that took into consideration all the construction taking place. Here is Southern California, we have lots of freeway construction underway.
I had to use Google Maps yesterday to plot a route to a destination. As soon as I hit my first major turn, viola, the ramp is closed due to construction, had to take a detour. Now my map is useless because there were multiple detours along the route. What should have taken me 15-20 minutes took almost an hour because I'm terrible at directions when it is dark. I need the sun to give me a point of reference.
I can see someone developing a mapping interface that is real time and takes into consideration all the construction projects, traffic, etc. Is there something like that out there yet?
P.S. Yes, a GPS is on my Christmas list. :)
