n.example.com in 2002.
Great traffic up to 35.000 visitors per month.
All content in German.
This subdomain, like now all subdomains and the www main site disappeared June 27th in a Google filter.
Now I started to translate the site to English and published the first chapter translated September 13th.
Now the page is indexed and I started to test with search terms from the title.
Title from the German page
88.000 pages, my old page not under the first 100
Title from the English page
200.000 pages,
My new site on place 1, 2 and now the sensation, place 3 from n.example.com
Very strange!
n.example.com has like all my pages with a version in an other langauage something like
<a href=l.example.com/page.htm><img src=english.gif alt="English version
English title of the page"></A>
But this link to the German version is some where at the end of the HTML code.
So what sort of filter can this be?
The German version is not in the first 100 with the title, but the small link to the english version creates rank 3 at the english more competitive search term.
We are experiencing a "sandbox" type filter on our result the same as you, potentially for different reasons, following "fixes" e.g. "/index.htm" ; "default.htm" point to "/" all pages unique, all meta titles and descriptions .... ya de da .....
It would be good to have a sense of what triggered this filtering of your results.
