HAs any one noticed the more and more variables coming up in the top 10 results of Google?

I don't know if its only in my arena, however Im seeing result like:

www.domain.com/keyword.aso?city=london&country=united%20kingdom
www.domain.com/city/cz/prague.en.html?aid=307034

What does this mean?

Are the webmasters using some other technique that Im not aware of?
Where are they backlinks pointing to?

Any insight on this would be great......

Those look like perfectly normal dynamic URLs that Google has happily indexed for many years.

What is citical for owners of sites like that, is to manage any, and all, "duplicate content" issues that can arise.
