I promote my site (for what?)

I want to increase the visitors for my website,(ecommerce site) but i dont know what to do more. I have original content and a forum, (with few members, it is a young forum) I readed all the posts of this forum, put in practice all the advices, i think i use every tools available, (google/yahoo sitemap and others, add site in all the directories available) Recently Google index 9000 pages (normal it is 900), now this last week stable for 5000 pages, but now im loosing visitors. I open the site 15 April 2006,(with PR2, now i have PR4) started with 100 visitors a day, now im having 50 a day, i want to increase not the way around. Every day i put more items, info, improve keywords, image tags, i think the my last resource is Adwords (but dont have much money to start...).

Well, basically you need to find out why you are getting less traffic with 5000 pages indexed than you did with only 900 pages indexed. Are you talking about search traffic only?

Google index 9000 pages (normal it is 900)

How many actual HTML pages exists on your site. Is it 900 or 9000?

Thanks for your reply, im talking about google search traffic, i see at google analytics, less traffic from google but increasing the others sources, returning visitors and direct acess. The site is dynamic, (i use mysql database with php)in total with the forum, i have 9000 pages, but now google only show 5000 pages index. I dont know what im doing wrong, may be google sandbox my site?

I read the thread, they talk about dynamic pages and duplicate content and other issues. I think is that the problem i have, this last weeks, i put a sitemap for my phpbb forum, some pages are very similar and put a new section of items, books (i find out the editor of this books, have a site with the same content).

Im being penalized by google for using dynamic pages at the ecommerce/phpbb forum and using duplicate content?

So my solution is to use a mod rewrite to have a search engine friendly URLs for my ecommerce/phpbb forum and change all the resumes of the books i sell.

Can some one discuss my thoughts?

I found out why im loosing traffic, because i changed my keyw from my main categories, now im having my traffic back (google analystic), next time i will be more careful, i had to learn!-)

PS - Only put once a keyw,1-title and so on, dont forget the img alt tag!
