Today I did a site:search on Google and to my amazement and horror, I noticed that www.mysite.com - my level 1 page - had been dropped, and could'nt be found in a Google search. Although I appreciate and rely heavily on hits on level 2, 3 & especially level-4 pages, I find it quite strange and worrying that my level 1 page has been dropped. Anyone out there who've had the same problem?

Are you linking internally back to only /index.html instead?

If so, then that is the whole problem.

Link only to http://www.domain.com/ from every page of your site, and send the PR to the URL that Google wants to list.

thanks for the link - noticed it after I'd posted, naturally :S - Anyways, hopefully its just temporary.

P.S. I'm linking to www.mysite.com and not to the index.html file
