google sitemaps average top position

abbreviations between top search queries and top search query clicks?

Under statistics > query stats the google sitemaps account shows my top twenty keywords in combination with the average position for each kw in the search results. Thank you very much for that information.

However, I noticed some minor differences in the average position of identical keywords in both columns. Does anyone know what that means?

The explanation says "Since our index is dynamic, this may not be the same as the current position of your site for this query." I can understand that, but it doesn't account for those differences, does it?
