when I search site:mydomain.com it brings up my site URLs with only less than 1% are actual URLs, others are supplemental and today I noticed quite a few completely unrelated domains (spam, junk sites) listed under in the same search results for site:mydomain.com (also supplemental). Anyone know what this is about?

One of my sites also having this problem, but worse, all rankings gone, and can not find my site in google, even searching on my domain name or business name.

all the sites in site: are russion or turkish computer part sites.

Right now I'm getting only three pages listed for a lot of domains (like webmasterworld) using a
site:example.com

Then supplementals listed after the three pages. Domains without supplementals only show three pages.

Yup lots of issues on some sites with the site search and non english sites showing as belonging to the site.

Hard to peg this one down. What's worse is that it is (atm) only affecting certain domains which makes it more difficult to sort out.

hallo
same problem
dropped from ranking ,60% traffic lost
my site grows from 1000 to 25 000 sits in 120 days
my site has now: 300 000 backlinks most of them from thousands subdomains like this <example.info> or <1881.randomchracters.info> for example
now i think this is to much for google
can we solve this problem with changing a part of urls maybe 9000
every month with 301 to my own site for example www.example.com/alt.htm to www.example.com/new.htm
i would lose the backlinks for a time or shoud i wait for google to fix the problem

sorry for my english
i hope you can follow my idears
thank you

Very interesting.

My homepage was removed but there were about 400 other pages showing in a site: search for my domain.

When I went to the Webmaster Tools, it asked me to verify the file.

I has *just* searched about one minute previous and the site:search did not show my root domain listed.

After uploading the file and verifying it, the site: search showed my root page and now continues to show it.

Coincidence?

I filled out a google site resubmission request. Kind of crap that in order to do so I had to admit to breaching google's tos.

After admitting it, I then refuted that I had, advised that the problem was googles and could they please fix it.

They did, my site now reinstated, with a rankings boost at that, on one of my key yerms pre banning i was 27 on google regional, am now at No.1.

woohoo.
