more trust in individual urls in order for them to rank"
"

this was a sentence in a Matt Cutts post.

Can anyone help me understand what the factors of trust are and if they are for an individual url or for a whole site?

thanks in advance

I'm guessing he means deep-links that come into a specific URL from external sites and probably from within your own site, including how prolific and relevant to the referring page they are. Logical as no-one will link to a page of crap...well...in theory! Just a guess though.

simsi, thanks.

pratically is a different way to say that a url needs links to rank.

It really means that if a page in your site has none or low amount of links, it goes supplemental.

do internal links count or they must be from other sites?
