We used to always have consistency on our site command (prior to some time in April) where the first result would be our home page at [domain.com....]

After April, we started to see [domain.com...] return as the top result for site:domain.com. We fixed what we thought was the culprit (shopping cart account/checkout going to https:) and thought that would fix the problem. In June everything looked like it cleared up w.r.t. the site: command, but since July the [domain.com...] is back as #1 result for the site command.

Just a search for the keyword "domain" returns the correct result. "Domain", by the way is a made-up word so it is unique.

Any ideas on how to procede?

Make sure you do a 301 redirect on all non SSL necessary pages. WE had a problem with our site getting spidered under SSL and nearly all of our pages went supplimental. Fix it quick!

Thanks for the info.

G must have done something in the last 24 hours because now all of our site:domain.com results (<with an online tool>) are showing http://domain.com as the #1 result with the [domain.com...] not to be found.

Is this an update or a filter or a tweak of the algo or just what causes this change (we haven't changed anything).
