I know it depends on things like keywords, links, types of links, PR of links back, etc. but I was just wondering if there was some kind of ballpark estimate that if you are getting your links done, trying to link to relevant sites, and you've used your keywords wisely, how long to get PR plus some better ranking in the serps?
How often is PR updated usually? Thanks!
I noted that you mention keywords. Keywords have nothing at all to do with PageRank, which is a calculation based on links alone. Page Rank is a numerical value that is completely free of semantic considerations of any kind.
Backlinks also carry another kind of influence that IS semantic: the anchor text and other "words on the page" impact. This is not part of PageRank, it is another factor that will carry your pages up or down the rankings for given searches. These effects can also be seen on an ongoing and near-continual fashion.
