How to perform a really, really exact search on Google?

Searching for "widget example" return results with not the exact phrase.

Some time ago I asked this here :
[webmasterworld.com...]

But got no answer, so here it is again with a different post subject.

Isn't supposed that a search in quote would lead an exact search?
If I search "widget example", I found
widget, example
widget. Example
widget: example

How do I return a really, really, really exact search?

That search will prioritise the "" search terms, but will then widen the scope for other combinations.

You cannot use Google to get the exact search AND ONLY the exact search; google sees their role as finding things; if not enough of your exact request, then similar options.

You may be luckier with other SEs - I'm sure one will do it, and I'm thinking alta vista (if it still exists?)
