Search for mysite.com returns another domain completely

I have a new domain which runs on zen-cart. It's weird that Google has a problem with indexing it. When I search for site:mysite.com, it's in the index. But when I search for mysite.com, it turns out another domain which has no relation with me, which is also zen-cart powered. Does anybody have similar experience? How to deal with this?

Can anyone help? I contacted Google about this and they do not respond.

RoyalChina,

I'd check with your Web hosting provider and also do a bit of digging with relevant DNS tools and such.

I've come across similar situations before, and in the vast majority of cases, there was a misconfiguration on the Web host's end.

If, after doing some more digging, you still see a problem, drop another note back here.

In particular, check to see if you're on the same IP address as the other site.

Thank you guys for the help. My site and the other site has different IPs and hosts. If anybody want to have an investigation about this, you can find the site in question in my profile.

you can find the site in question in my profile.

AFAIK ..until you have 100 or so posts your site doesnt actually show up in youir profile to anyone other than yourself ..from here I certainly can only see your "nick" ..nothing about your site ..nor email contacts etc ..

( dont post them here ..it's against the TOS )

presupposing that the site is a dot com of your "nick"?

a search on google for that site shows only one entry and if clicked on takes for ever to load ( actually it timed out for me ) ..however placing the domain name into the address bar and hitting go does get one to a "spode site" ..
if this applies to you do you have DNS or canonical issues that you are aware of as sometimes google appears to favour the //yourdomain.com as the version that is clickable from it's serps ..whereas you may only be reachable on the www.yourdomain.com url version ..the other simply may not resolve ..

edit ..
having tested that idea ..I was wrong ..both resolve ( assuming the site I was testing is yours ) ..the server is slow tho and there are only 13 entries in the G index ..presumably the site is very new and with few inbounds

Leosghost. Thanks for the input. My site seems no hosting or dns problem. I have contacted my host. My domain is not my nick dot com. I have PMed you, if you are interested in taking a look.
