Hey all,
I have had my custom shopping cart in place since 2001.. We have never added a no-follow to the 'add to cart' buttons. If I did so now could that actually hurt me in the SERPS? I wouldn't want to anger the bots and get lowered in the index..
Any ideas?

I wouldn't want to anger the bots

Bots are pieces of software without emotions. I have never seen one angry. But watch out for their creators:)

I have nofollowed most links on my pages which I think shouldn't be followed by bots and are primarily there for the visitor. I.e. affiliate links, links to other sites I maintain etc. I haven't seen any negative result. In fact ranking increased somewhat, but this is probably due to other factors than the rel="nofollow" on those links.
