I have not sent in a spam report in a very long time. But I see some really bad trends that I would like to report. Many times in the past, Googleguy has specified a certain subject line/email to use. What are we doing these days to get spam reports in and noticed?

They did mention that the ones submitted through your sitemaps account bear more weight and are probably looked at sooner.

Soapy,

I pretty much gave up on Yahoo LOL. Google is looking real good these days. Just noticed some bad urls sneak in the past few days. Nothing too big. I am very happy with how Google has been looking the past 12 months. It's been a long time since I sent in a spam report, though I don't see a report option in Sitemaps as suggested above. I am just using the regular spam submit form.

The spam report form in webmaster tools (formerly Google Sitemaps) is on the My Sites page. Click on "Tools" in the upper right and then "Report spam in our index".

This is a pretty important topic now as page 3 of a very popular term is now 8 of 10 listings full of *.spaces stuff...that really should go.

Thankyou Vanessa,

This is a great tool added to Webmaster Central. I just sent in two spam reports. My first in many months. I have seen so many good things happening at Google, but every once in a while someone sneaks in a bad url. Those won't be there long I imagine ;)

Thanks again
Chris

I look at the spam reports like voting. It's your duty to do it, and you should. However like voting your one single vote doesn't count for much and rarely decides a race, but we need everyone to vote or else the system doesn't work so yes your vote does count.

In other words, just because you fill out a spam report don't expect them to act on it, but if you don't fill them out you have no right to complain.
