How can I contact google to verify that there are issues or no issues with the site?

The site in question is tiny, 40 to 50 external indexable pages, tis also a web application thus very low content till more content is generated by users

Your Sitemaps interface IS the place Google recommends to get feedback on problems they are running into spidering your site. It is still in beta, and some folks report buggy behaviors, but it's what we've got.

Specific Google feedback about your site triggering this or that filter for ranking is not something they give out, because it would allow site owners to learn ever more ways to game the SERPs.
