This past week, as the "" filters were tidying themselves up, I noticed something odd happening on a few of the domains I manage that weren't previously getting hit with any filters. All of the sudden a new supplemental cached page was showing up on the site: command
domain.com/images/home_image.swf (July 20)
Just to get the obvious stuff out of the way, the IIS server is handling 404s correctly and we never use Flash/Shockwave.
I say that this is unique because I noticed it occur on two different domains, both of which no longer rank in the 30s-50s (past 1000 now).
Has anyone else encountered this strange URL string in their queries? I registered a G account and tried the removal tool, so I'll update if I learn anything more about the effect of its removal.
