Two listings in google

I just search for mydomain and see two separate listings.

One is mydomain.com and the second on is mydomain.com/index.cfm which is a database summary page.

When I click more sites from... it is the same number and pages for both.

Concerned this may be causing my duplicate filter (I thought it was the problem I had with my IP getting indexed - but that is another story)

Why is google showing this index.cfm as a separate listing and how can I correct?

Hey sid560:

I'm mostly just bumping this up - don't take what I say as gospel.

Why is google showing this index.cfm as a separate listing and how can I correct?

You might have canonical problems, which means that the bots are confused over what the true URL's are for any particular page (there a lot of threads here that discuss it).

Maybe others will catch something I missed. Best of luck with it.
