How is this done? How long will it take?

Why is it that there are a lot of links in Yahoo but Google could only recognize a few?

And why does it take soo long for Google to update the number?
Does it update it when it updates the PR? Because, I have noticed the last time it raised its number was the time Google had updates on the PR.

If so, does Google Links gets updated every 3 months?

Please explain to me how it works. And I hope you could tell me what kind of sites would be recognize by Google.

Thanks

G only shows a snip of backlinks. You could have hundreds coming in but only a few will show. As to why specefic backlinks are displyed, I have no clue and there has been much debate on this subject. I would tend to use Yahoo for this to get a more complete list.

As for PR, and updates, I have seen it go up to 6 months with no updates. PR is a dead horse anyway. I gert a kick out of some of these sites that won't exchange links with a site that is below PR5. To me, that's a hoot. I have PR2 sites that are ranked in the top 2 for some fairly competative phrases... go figure...
