Google Result Hijacked

While searching for our company name i noticed that the second result that comes up is a hijacked domain/result.

the results shows malicous content that is offensive to us. If anyone could help me understand how this happend and how i can take steps to remove it from the result.
I have already contacted the company that had their domain hijacked and requested them to take steps, but they are unaware of what actions to take.
