Is anyone else still seeing corrupted titles on their serps with a site: command? I had six or seven sites thus affected last month - all are cleared up except for one. It's ignored the description and run the nav text on the page up with the title, causing all but the home page to go supplemental. Really aggravating, because the other sites are fixed and doing well.

Yes. We still have thousands of corrupted titles with exactly what you describe.

I'm not necessarily convinced that the corrupted titles are causing the supplemental status however. Why would that happen? In our case any way, the affected pages still have unique titles: e.g. Widget Ratings on Exmaple.com GARBAGE CORRUPTED WORDS.

What makes you think that the corrupted titles cause supplemantal-ness?

I agree, this problem seems to be CAUSED by a page being supplemental, not the other way around.

Cause the pages are less than 45 days old, and were never supplemental until the very day the corruption occurred. (Which I believe was June 18, but I have to check my records and I'm at home at the moment)

And because when this same thing happened on my other sites, as soon as the corruption disappeared, the pages Came Back From Supplement City (I was suddenly reminded of a David Bowie song)

The thing is, the bit of text that it's taking off the page and adding to the page title is the navigational text - so it's the same on every page, and there's enough of it that I believe it's make the pages look like duplicate content.

Yeah, June 18 was the bad day for us when I first noticed all the corrupted titles, supplemental pages, and freefalling "site:" results.

We were untouched by the June 27 stuff... how about you Netmeg?

Untouched by June 27, untouched by this latest AdWords thing, and all the sites that had gone supplemental with corrupted titles came back after maybe a week or ten days - except this one.
