Indexing new pages slower.

Is G robot not moving around as often?

I've had a site that ranks really well on Google for over a year. We feature for a huge variety of terms - and a very diverse range. About 2 weeks ago a lot of our smaller and more peripheral terms (on specific pages) got hit badly and our rankings slipped. We maintained our rankings for our main terms though.

We used to get the Google robot coming through our site daily and new pages used to get picked up and indexed within 1-2 days. Now new pages take upwards of a week to get indexed - does anybody have any ideas on why this could be?

Are sites perhaps getting crawled less frequently? Has anyone else encountered anything similar?

Make any major changes lately that could account for the dramatic difference?

Did you lose a big high quality inbound link?

Hi Brett - no major changes at all. It wasnt just our "money" pages that got hit, some pure content pages suffered as well.
Interstingly, for the last few months I haven't actively been doing anything other than get new and unique content up.
I read in another post about some kind of "refresh" on 27th June. Do you have any idea what this is?
Thanks!

In answer to the second bit - I don't think we've lost any links.
