Google To Build Research Center in Ann Arbor Mich

...will have up to 1,000 employees, people who had been briefed on the plan said Monday night. The announcement is set to be made Tuesday morning by Gov. Jennifer M. Granholm at a news conference at the state Capitol in Lansing. Google is expected to open the center in downtown Ann Arbor, the hometown of the University of Michigan, where Larry Page, one of Google’s founders, earned his undergraduate degree in engineering.

Big front page article in the Detroit Free Press this morning - apparently it's the entire AdWords operation that's coming here? So when I have a problem, I can just go beat on the door now.

Gack. Apparently when you type in the words Google and Ann Arbor into Google Search, the first thing that comes up is a local listing for *MY* company. I've been fielding calls all day from people looking for jobs or to contact Google. A headhunter just now called looking to offer her services to Google. How weird is *that*?
