For a couple of months now, Google seems to have reverted to a version of my site's "description" meta tag content that is about nine months old. Interestingly, this old info doesn't appear for all search strings that return our homepage (that is, some searches return the current version in the description text, others the old stuff). The old version is less optimised, and has seems to have influenced a slight drop in ranking for our highest traffic search term (from #1 to #2...I guess I shouldn't complain, huh?).
When I use the "info:" operator for our domain, I get the old info. Does anyone know how to get Google to update the information returned here? We use Sitemaps, if that is a factor.
