I did the rounds to check on the state of various data updates. I'd estimate that the "0.5" (not algorithmic changes, but rather responses to various spam/porn complaints + processing reinclusion requests) should go out this weekend sometime or possibly Monday. There should be a binary push this week to improve a corner-case of CJK-related search, and that new binary should have the hooks to turn on the third set of data. Regarding finishing up the second piece of data, there's still two data centers with older data. Those data centers will probably be switched over by Monday. By Monday, 2.5 of the 3.5 things will probably be on.
I mentioned above they both are the same, only showing 17 now down from over 500. A few days ago they were an incredible 20. So they've dropped even MORE. Oh how I long for the good ole days of Monday. <sarc>

Are the title and description are exactly the same as yours was? When you click the cache does it show your home page?If so, then you have been highjacked.
Otherwise, if you are seeing something like:
Widget Directory Page Title
blah blah blah ..."a sentence from Clints page" followed by clint's url...blah, blah
Widget Directoy URLYou are probably seeing a scraper site with a bunch of URLs and 302 redirects, or a directory site that has linked to you and maybe with a 302 redirect. That doesn't mean you have been highjacked.

It is the latter. They are not using my meta tags, on the page that shows in G, they are using the text I GAVE THEM. In fact, this particular case is a site where you can add/remove/edit your own listings (unlike the first 302 site I mentioned). I'm not going to remove my listing there because at least I'm sort of still showing in the top spot by-way-of them, proxy so-to-speak, although no one would probably ever click that hit for the searched-for phrase.

While this is the most easily identifiable hijack sign it's not necessarily the most common one.
The hijack may be completely invisible unless you know the type of things to look for. And there is not a single SOP to detect all hijacks, as their nature is variable.
If your site dropped from #1 to #999 and you don't come up for your company name, it's time to pull needles out of haystacks.

In the extranet you do'nt need to worry about what is happening on the internet. Your customers know where you are. You do not rely on one site to get customers on the internet. One site that may jump up and down in search engines, depending on new algorithmes.
100 oher sites was a more or less random number, but you use these small sites to brand your company (product) and do not depend, as mentioned, on one site. But if you want your incomes to fluctuate as the fishermens incomes does in Norway, that is perhaps acceptable.
Hope this made my point more clear. But, perhaps I misunderstood your point. If so, sorry about that.

When you click on the title it shows my site framed with their 728 x 90 banner ad as the footer. Although it shows their url in the browser.
Does anyone know what this is and if this can cause me any problems? My quess is that someone is forwarding their domain to mine for some reason.

Sounds like Google is handling it correctly.
Their page has one of your pages as a frame. If Google hasn't changed the way it handles frames recently then it shouldn't cause you any ranking problems.

Actually they have my whole site in a frame. If I click on the link it takes me to my site with their banner ad as the footer. Then every site link I click takes me to a another page on my site with their banner ad as the footer.
That comes up for a search for your domain name - eg in the following format?:-

what comes up in a search for your domain name
what's the significance? Mine only shows the dmoz description, when it used to have a much nicer snippet from the page.

I have already set up a 301 redirect for non-www. Should I submit a remove url request for www.mydomain.com/?[parameters]
For me I get url only :( - (I am in dmoz too)
At one stage the non-www when url only - then the www.
The way novice wrote it I thought that it was showing the framed url for the exact domain search... which would not be good - I can understand it being returned as a phrase search though.
I might have misunderstood novice though.
No I dont think so - do not submit a remove url request. G needs to sort it out. (Although it is slightly different being /?parameter - I dont know for sure)
Hoping a fix will come in soon - otherwise you need that domain with the parameter crawled so G knows there is a 301 to the www.
What should I do to fix it? Should I just wait and see if Google will fix it by itself?
The [mydomain.com...] has resolved to my regular front page for years by default. I tried to do a specific 301 redirect for it, but it didn't seem to take. Here's what I did:
Options +FollowSymLinks
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^mydomain\.com\?[parameter] [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.mydomain.com/$1 [L,R=301]But that seemed to have no effect.
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^mydomain\.com\?[parameter] [NC]
You will need to use %{QUERY_STRING}. I would elaborate, but this is an update thread. =)

BTW The removal tool will remove both versions of the domain for 6 months. RE GG and others.

That's how frames work. If you click on a link in a frame then the page linked to fills the frame.

Yes, I know how frames work. I was just reponding to your saying that he framed one of my pages. I said he framed my entire site. I understand that. My concern is if this would cause a duplicate content penalty. It looks like he framed thousands of sites.

It seems to have just wiped out the homepage completely but still shows our other pages. However, I am worried. Very worried. If this moves to other DCs I'm in trouble.
Something very weird happening on 64.233.183.99 and 64.233.183.104. Searching for mydomain.com brings up nothing at all, even though the site has been in Google for about 5 years now.
Those two DCs show totally different content compared to the other DCs (which are all perfectly aligned - at least for my keywords).
This has been the case since about 2 days. I don't hope this stuff moves to the other DCs.
Some people were pretty happy with those DCs.
