I see a huge changes in google serps across all the google datacenters in europe and asia but US serps are the same...

A few of my site goes up and a few goes down

Did you see the same changes?

I can see changes here in N-Europe (Flanders). I just vanished from #4 to page 5 :-((
But I hope this is only the start and I'll be back at the end of the update (well I hope....)

Here's my report. Definate changes on one of my sites that went URL only last update. As of the 15th its back although for some reason it's now indexed mysite.com instead of www.mysite.com. Odd considering there are no incoming links that I can find without the www.

Anyone who's pages are going url-only see any common thread? One thing I see is pages with a few keywords in the filename that match the page title somewhat seem to be candidates for url-only status.

Seeing a lot url-only pages but no use of keywords in the filename. However most of the pages are from a database like?a=5&b=383&c=

Personally, I attributed the sites drop to url-only last update to the lack of meta description tags on that site...I knew I forgot to do something. ;)

I have several pages of the kind you described. None have been affected at this moment.

We just need more observations during the next 48 hours to have a good idea about what the folks at Google are targeting this time.

64.233.187.104 - Seems really different from other DCs for me. One site went from #250+ to #53.

I am seeing backlink and pr rollback for some sites to prior last PR update.

For Example (if its allowed) - Bluefind is a PR2 (was PR2 before) on non-www homepage in 216.239.37.104 at the moment.

Therefore it looks more like a rollback - hopefully this means that soon we will be rolling forward again.

As someone stated earlier - I am seeing a lot of fresh dates from 15th. But nothing dramatic in the serps.

My 800+ page website now officially receives NO traffic from Google - beginning yesterday afternoon.

I'm where I was 10-12 months ago. No, worse; I don't even come up for my site's name.

I hope it's a "rollback" and of short duration...

I have seen a few long time spammers (cloaked page that redirects to another page that then blitzes the user with popups and trojans), like 12 to 18 months, drop out a couple of days ago. Were at #5 and #9 and now not in top 250. Still findable using site: search but SERPS are URL-only.

For a site fully converted and 301'd two months ago so that all URLs would be non-www, suddenly there are many www URLs, as URL-only listings, re-appearing in the SERPs, some of them for pages that have not existed for 18 months or more. Listings (site:domain.com) were "perfect" for the site last week, but now filling back up with junk and URL-only www duplicates.

I am seeing a site on [216.239.53.104...]

Where the homepage no longer shows if you do a www.domain.com search as if the site has been removed - however if you do a site search pages are still appearing on that dc for the site.

Looking at the above case further I think this is a bug rather than a penalty.

I think there is a slight difference of when a site has been removed from Google -

If you do a search on the domain name of when a site has been removed (penalty) you do not get the line:

If the URL is valid, try visiting that web page by clicking on the following link: domain.com

However if it is a site Google does not know about you do tend to get that line.

Will have to see how this develops. (Not my site anyway - just one I monitor and use as a Control as it were)

Word on the street is that we are just seeing a bit of shuffling and this would not be classified as an actual update.

I see some shuffling, but nothing out of the ordinary except for the traffic Zygoot stole from me yesterday. :)

I've remained at 4th position in the world wide search for my single word term, but moved from 4th to 2nd in the UK listings. I'm not sure if this can be attributed to changes at Google or other sites somehow becoming less relevant.

Yes, I notice that a lot of my sites have had traffic surges since yesterday.

On my Adsense sites, eCPM and CTR is up too.

I can't see anything special about the SERPS that might caused it though. On all of Google IPs mentioned here, everything looks about the same in terms of position.

Still trying to figure out why pages are going url-only. I've almost given up. Whole subdirectories are going url-only but the index page on almost all subdirectories is fine. I'm looking at:

1) too little content vs boiler plate
2) keywords in url matching title

Only thing I've ruled out is dup content, except where it applies to #1

Anyone gaining any further insight to this issue?
